Philadelphia, PA, February 15, 2024, PIC Partners Christopher M. Casazza and Caitlin Costello  of Palladino, Isbell & Casazza, LLC (“PIC Law”) achieved a substantial victory for our client in a published case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (the federal court directly below the Supreme Court).

The decision, issued on February 13, 2024, sets a significant precedent for Convention Against Torture (“CAT”) applicants.

The Third Circuit agreed with Partner Caitlin Costello’s arguments that the BIA and the Immigration Court failed to consider crucial evidence favorable to our client’s claim, which established that he was likely to face torture upon return.

This decision not only helps our client who was the subject of the litigation but will help future immigrants who are litigating their claims for Political Asylum, Withholding of Removal and Relief under the Convention Against Torture.
